Decades of Impact: Building a Resilient South Bay Economy

History

Since its founding in 1979, the South Bay Association of Chambers of Commerce (SBACC) has been a trusted advocate for businesses across the South Bay region. Initially formed to protect aerospace interests and defend Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) from BRAC closures, SBACC has grown into a multi-industry leader. Today, SBACC represents 15 chambers of commerce and reviews over 100 pieces of legislation and regulations annually to ensure policies support the prosperity of South Bay businesses.

Achievements

  • Legislative Advocacy: SBACC has taken positions on hundreds of bills, shielding local businesses from burdensome regulations and championing pro-growth policies.
  • Economic Impact: Preserved 4,500 jobs at LAAFB and supported infrastructure improvements at the San Pedro Bay Ports.
  • Policy Leadership: Provided concise legislative analyses to member chambers, empowering grassroots advocacy efforts.

Mission Statement

"To unify chambers, amplify advocacy, and drive sustainable growth across the South Bay’s diverse industries."
